PARENT AIDE
- JOB OBJECTIVE
- Provide parenting skills education to clients in the areas of communication skills, budgeting skills, socialization skills, communication skills, anger management, stress management, community linkages, activities of daily living, problem-solving, behavioral management, appropriate child discipline techniques, environmental safety, and resource identification.

- JOB QUALIFICATION
- Master’s Degree in the Human Services Field
- Bachelor’s Degree in the Human Services Field
- High School Diploma /GED with five years of Human Services experience
- JOB REQUIREMENTS
- 1. Demonstrates understanding of the Department of Family and Children Services (DFCS) and assists clients in identifying, securing, and sustaining a range of resources needed to facilitate family independence.
- 2. 3-5 years of work experience in behavioral modification, parenting skills training
- 3. Knowledge of the DSM-V TR diagnosis in adults, children/youth
- 4. Knowledge of crisis management interventions, intensive case management, and other rehabilitation supports preferred for families and their children/youth.
- 5. Knowledge of the BIRP Progress note documentation.
- 6. Group psychoeducation experience.
- 7. Good verbal and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills and team player concepts.
